Recipe: American Pancakes

The American pancake is probably the most famous breakfast in the United States. Unlike the traditional pancake we know here, the salted American pancake is not very common, it is usually served in a sweet form, with toppings and fruit. Also, its batter is thicker than a traditional pancake, and it is not stuffed.

But what really stands out is the taste! If the intention is to prepare a fancy breakfast, then click on this recipe:


1 egg;

2 col. (soup) of butter;

1 Cup (Tea) of milk;

1 Cup (Tea) from wheat flour;

1 col. (soup) of yeast;

2 col. (soup) of sugar;

Cinnamon powder (optional).

Method of preparation:

In a bowl beat the egg, butter and milk. After that add the dry ingredients and mix until it becomes a homogeneous mass. In a skillet greased with oil, and with the help of a ladle, pour the batter. Always bake over a low heat so that it doesn't burn, after the edges are firm and the middle starts to make holes, turn the dough over, and wait for about a minute, so that the other side also browns. You can substitute cinnamon powder for orange zest or vanilla extract to taste.


Here you can use your creativity! Honey is a very traditional option, but you can use Condensed Milk, Treacle, Chocolate or Peanut Butter or Nuts. In addition to the liquid ingredient, you can add fruits to the recipe (strawberry, banana, kiwi, mango...), and other crunchy ingredients such as Pecan Nuts Picadas Pecanobre, which will make your dish incredibly beautiful and tasty.
