Chickpeas: a versatile legume!


Chickpeas, also known as gravestone or chicken peas, are very popular in the Mediterranean, Middle East and Indian cuisine. And like other members of the legume family (lentils, peas, beans and soy), chickpeas are a major supplier of protein.

This legume resembles the taste of nuts and has a grainy texture and can be prepared in several ways ... As a source of vitamins, minerals and fiber, chickpeas can offer a variety of health benefits:
